using:
PHPJavaScriptCSSA (fake) e-commerce website for luxury clothing, created for the Team Project module at Aston University. Team 18 (a group in university) worked together to develop a sustainable approach to allowing users to find outstanding fashion to wear, implementing a complete solution for both customers and administrators. After six months, we announced that we completed our goal, creating MIRROR.
The process involved utilising several different SDLCs to work on an MVP version and a Final version of the website, including a weekly stand-up, and Kanban board to keep track of progress. Additionally, GitHub was used to manage the codebase across different branches, each focusing on different features, allowing the team to collaborate effectively, no matter where they were.
Key Features:
- Sustainability Focus: Sustainability is promoted throughout, with the best products highlighted clearly through the website
- Product Filtering: Easy-to-use product filtering system, allowing users to find the perfect product for them
- Security: CAPTCHA and secure login system to ensure that only the right people can access their accounts (and the admin panel)
- Admin Panel: A separate system for managing stock level, products, and orders, with a clear and easy-to-use interface
- Beautiful UI: Consistent design throughout the website, with a focus on user experience and accessibility
Technologies Used:
MIRROR uses the LAMP stack as the majority of the team was already proficient in PHP from previous modules, and it allowed for easier deployment on the university servers. No frameworks were used on the front-end.
